Camps Kahdalea and Chosatonga
As an intern, I worked with the owners of the camp who design and build every new building that is on their property. Over one summer, I designed both an art cabin with furniture as well as an outdoor gym.

Louisiana Tech
While at Louisiana Tech, I learned everything I currently know about architecture and the making of buildings. I learned a variety of computer applications and skills of the trade. The applications I learned were AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Rhino 7, Lumion, Procreate, Shapr3D, and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I’ve also learned skills such as model making, woodworking, metalworking, how to use power tools and hand tools, and all the parts of how to put a small building thanks to design build.

Hi I’m Jordan! I’m an architecture student born and raised in New Orleans, LA. I grew up in a Catholic family of 6 with 3 older brothers. Other than architecture, I really enjoy music, cooking, and the outdoors
Since I was a kid, I had an internal desire to create. I learned music to create beautiful sounds and songs, and I learned how to cook to make great dishes and recipes, but those noble crafts only provide something temporary. In architecture, I can create something that will benefit anyone who walks into it for years to come. That’s why I enjoy this beautiful craft.

Archive|2nd year Spring studio|March-May 2021
For this project, we were instructed to create an archive for a certain vehicle while using said vehicle to form design decisions. For my vehicle, I chose a WWII era amphibious military vehicle known as the DUKW.
Due to the vehicle’s amphibious nature, I wanted to take advantage of the water and design the building to lead from the land to the water. In doing so, I wanted to make sure to pick an area on the site where the topography could more greatly emphasize this transition.

The building required the following programs: an atrium, a gallery, mechanical room, bathrooms, a classroom, a multimedia room, a café, a document archive, and a lab. I also added some outdoor space because I think outdoor space, whenever possible, is an essential consideration for the design process of a building.
In this assignment, I had to use the following programs: AutoCAD, Rhino 7, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Procreate.
Urban Planning|4th year Fall studio|September-November 2022
In this studio, we were instructed to learn about urban planning and apply our knowledge to Colony Park, a small neighborhood in Austin, TX. This neighborhood is on the East side of I-35, an area that has been struggling financially ever since all minorities were moved there in 1928.
To address the problems of this area, my partner and I looked into the 8 pillars: education, food, economic vitality, outdoor recreation, mobility, city/county resources, healthcare, and affordable housing.
Urban Planning|4th year Fall studio|September-November 2022
As a phase 1 of this project, we were instructed to design an area that incorporated pillars that we wanted to emphasize. The ones we wanted to wmphasize in this building were education and food. We also thought it would be best to incorporate a community center to help reduce crime as well as offer a place for people to come together.
The programs we included in this project were a library, an internet café, a classroom, a computer lab, a daycare, a career center, a lounge, a kitchen, a grocery store, and an area for a farmer’s market. The computer applications I used in this project included the following: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Procreate, Rhino 7, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Lumion.
In the 3rd year studio program at Tech, there is an opportunity to participate in the Design Build program. That means that we as students will help a local special needs summer camp with whatever new project they need. For our studio, that was an art cabin.
This process was a very expedited project since we essentially had 6 months to design and build a small building with utilities like water, power, and AC.
