Showers of Grace
Roof | F Floor Plan
The interior of the trailer is divided into three main sections the shower areas storage area Components area
The Floor Plan design is intended to help maximized the surface area for one to comfortably shower.
Storage areas and closets are provided for
• Shower items
• Cleaning items

Using solar panels to charge the battery and provide sufficient power to the booster pump will fix battery burn out. The solar panels will also provide power to the water heater if the solar heating box is found to be ineffective or too costly to maintain.
Water Storage: Increase the amount of water carried by the trailer. High water pressure by constricting the shower nozzle to increase water pressure and reduce water gallons per minute usage.
While the solar shower might not address the core issues of homelessness, it is a much needed and uplifting expression of love and servitude for the neighborhood and neighbors. That is why Pastor sam and our team wants to make a difference by providing the outcasts with a warm and comfortable shower.
The solar shower will provide 64 shower minutes at 1.25 gpm
The solar panels will provide the power required for the air compressor to compress the air-battery that will provide the air pressure necessary so that the water storage tank can deliver pressurized water to the shower head.
The solar show is a project that requires a vision for the vulnerable people it will serve.
A project that crosses the boundaries between humanitarian needs and engineering design.
It’s important to not lose the end goal of the solar shower which is to ultimately provide a comfortable shower to the less fortunate, as envisioned by Pastor Sam Koh.

Solar Powered Sterling Engine

Design development process (Prototype on the left, Final design on the right)
California aims to have all it’s citizens get off of fossil fuels by 2035. The switch of all our appliances, cars, and other machinery used to make life easier will be taxing on our electrical grid.
Our idea will help with the clean production of electricity at the local level. This project aims to help alleviate the strain on the grid once we start to switch.
A solar-powered Stirling engine is a device that harnesses solar energy to produce mechanical work. It employs a closed-loop thermodynamic cycle with a sealed cylinder containing two pistons, one at the hot end and one at the cold end. Sunlight is focused onto the hot end using a parabolic mirror, heating the gas inside, causing it to expand and push the piston.
The gas then loses heat to the surroundings, contracts, and pulls the cold-side piston back, resulting in a back-and-forth motion. This reciprocating motion can be utilized for generating electricity or powering mechanical devices, making solar-powered Stirling engines efficient and versatile.

Mountains, Hills, and Theaters, Redlands

This project is designed based on the sole purpose of sustainability, the comfort of those who are provided these spaces while also integrating an environmental impact. Redlands is an area with a lot of mountains, using this knowlege the theater is potrayed as a hill, providing entertainment in the theaters watching a production or walking on the hill. The goal was to create a Symbiotic Relationship with the site and the program.

Located at the LA Historic Park, this project serves the purpose of replacing portable bathrooms at music festivals. The concept came from the inspiration of how the human mind likes to solve the unsolved. The result of the concept was a Rubix Cube.

This project was made with the concept of a LA corner museum that was focused on site design and conditions. This project was a build up of two exercises, the massing diagram which contained the location of the adutorium, fire escape stair, main stair way and the entrance. EX 2 was of a 3D grid with X Y and Z planar surfaces that would represent the walls and floor of the museum. For the final we merged these exercises to create the museum. For my design I used extruding louvers to give the structure a unique design and capuring luminous lighting, my inspiration for this design choice came from the Broad and the Berkeley Museum of Arts.

In collaboration with Christopher Rodriguez, Raymundo Florez
The aim of this project is to explore the framing involved in constructing a one-story residential house. The house features a slab on grade foundation, which involves pouring concrete directly onto the ground to form a solid base. Additionally, the structure includes a dormer extension, which is a window-featured projection from the roof. .21

This project is located in New York, Chelsea, and the design is to house residents and provide spaces to laborers within the typology of artist galleries (Fashion Designers, Glass Blowers, Painters, Sculptors). The brutalist style was based on Chelsea’s Fashion Institute of Technology building, the goal was to design the massing on gentrification. New York has some popular land marks, most commonly mentioned is Time’s Square, the facade design is based off of the screens to give off a hypnotic feeling, this also allows artist’s to be promoted and add a vibrant scene that fit’s the Art District.
