What started as a mentor protégé agreement back in 2008 has transformed into an innovative and creative mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design firm. Founded in 2010, JonesDBR Engineering Company, LLC is a Texas-based firm and certified Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) built on trust, quality, and innovation.
With 8 offices across Texas, JonesDBR designs building systems for educational institutions and healthcare
facilities. Our experienced team works diligently to design facilities that provide the highest level of health and comfort for learning and healing.
As a minority-owned firm, JonesDBR is focused on providing expertly designed MEP systems that allow the people that that learn, work, and heal in these facilities to do so in environments designed to exceed their needs.

DESIGN-BUILD EXPERIENCE
The popularity of Design-Build continues to grow and compared to traditional delivery methods, it simplifies project delivery by having a single entity responsible for both design and construction resulting in a single point of responsibility for the Owner. Here are a few other advantages:
Designer and Contractor act as one working under the same contract, eliminating the potential for oppositional relationships that can happen when they work individually.
Single-point of responsibility reduces Owner’s risk compared to splitting responsibilities and contracts between Designer and Contractor.
Value engineering, constructability and scheduling are continually optimized due to the integration of Designer and Contractor, thus increasing project quality.
Design-Build entity is responsible for all construction drawings and documentation.
Elimination of bid period required by DBB, enabling the ordering of long lead items and starting construction before design finalization, thereby shortening completion time.
The Owner requires less expertise and fewer resources to complete a project.
