GRADE ONE Those classified as being Grade One in the IOTN are those that have perfect or near perfect teeth.
GRADE TWO Those in Grade Two have minor irregularities such as front teeth that slightly protrude or slightly irregular structure and placement.
GRADE THREE IOTN Grade three covers those that have more than 4mm of protrusion in the front teeth, reversals of the relationship between the upper and lower teeth by less than 2mm, and other irregularities which do not cause issues with proper function and health – and therefore do not normally require treatment.
GRADE FOUR Grade Four covers more serous irregularities including missing adult teeth, protrusion, irregularity, deep or open bites, and supernumerary teeth that require medical intervention to correct.
GRADE FIVE Grade Five is the most severe classification for issues that always require dental treatment.
