Parents in the Surgery: More Personal Time with the Orthodontist
Parents told us in our 2012 Parent Survey, how much they appreciate the excellent results of their children’s treatment but that they would also like more face-to-face time with the orthodontist. We have responded by now inviting parents into the surgery at every visit. We are notifying our patients and their parents of this change which has proved a resounding success. They are enjoying improved communications and are pleased to be receiving a more personal - and even more punctual service!

In their own words... Everything was always great and now seeing Mr Alexander-Abt work up close is terrific. Faye is delighted to have me sit in and loves how her teeth look. She is more confident and smiles all the time. I can’t wait for my other daughter to begin her treatment here soon!

An Innovative Treatment Solution At almost 15 years of age, Jake presented at Stevenage Orthodontics with a 10mm overjet and refused to wear twin blocks to correct his bite. Happily, Jake did agree to wear a specialized Herbst appliance with excellent results. We fully reduced his overjet to 2mm in just 13 months. Jake said “Wearing these braces has greatly improved my confidence and it was very well worth it!” March 2011

Providing CPD for your Team Our principal orthodontist and a senior nurse visited the Hilltop Dental Surgery in Hatfield during one lunchtime to lead a one hour verifiable CPD course on the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need. The team were made more aware of the NHS guidelines for what orthodontists are permitted to treat on the NHS. We would be happy to visit your practice to do the same!
