Joma bets on renewable energy

The 1,510 square meters of solar panels installed will produce half of the energy consumed by Joma in a year.

In a commitment to sustainable energy, Joma has installed 578 photovoltaic modules at its headquarters in Portillo de Toledo (Toledo, Spain). In total, 1,510 square meters covered with solar panels will produce 445,400 KWh, approximately half of the energy consumed by Joma at its headquarters

This is a new commitment by the brand to care for the environment. From now on, half of the electricity needed for machines, computers, lights, etc..., will come from solar panels. This initiative is in addition to others previously carried out by Joma. For example, the manufacturing part of its production in ecological materials, are made in processes in order to respect the planet; or the substitution of contaminating plastic in packaging for recycled cardboard and biodegradable bags. Both initiatives are included in the Joma Positive Life Strategic Plan for Social Commitment.

In the long-run, all of Joma’s energy is expected to come from renewable sources. Its growth is unstoppable and the sports brand did not want to be left behind. Avoiding polluting emissions and counteracting the greenhouse
