Advanced Pistol-Rifle Combat Marksmanship

Advanced Pistol/Rifle Combat Marksmanship This 3-Day/30-hr course is designed to train personnel in the use of the service handgun and patrol rifle as a “close-quarters” fighting tool. Students will be pushed to increase their overall weapons handling skills, accuracy, and speed while conducting dynamic drills on the flat range.

A rapid progression during night-fire will encompass all skills covered during day The following topics/skill sets will be covered:  Weapons Malfunctions  Pistol/Rifle Fundamentals  Advanced Weapons Handling Drills  Shooting on-the-Move  Dynamic Close-Quarters Drills  Night-Fire fundamentals and Advanced Drills The following items are required:  Duty handgun with weapons mounted light and 5 x magazines  Patrol rifle with sling, weapons mounted light, laser aiming device is optional, and 3 x magazines (mag pouch, chest rig, or plate carrier)  Clear Eye Protection  Hearing protection  Duty Vest or Plate Carrier  Night Vision and Rifle mounted IR Laser (Optional)  Weapons maintenance/Cleaning Kit  Spare batteries for optics and lights  Headlamp or external light source not mounted to weapon Ammunition Required: 900-rds Handgun/900-rds Rifle NOTE **This is a Handgun and Rifle event. Must be qualified to carry both firearms**
