2 Day CQ Pistol Rifle

Close Quarters Handguns/Rifles and Tourniquets This 2-Day/20-hr course is designed to train personnel in the use of the service handgun and patrol rifle as a “close-quarters” fighting tool. There will be multiple repetitions conducted in the application of tourniquets using “self-aid/buddy-aid” procedures.

The following topics/skill sets will be covered:  Treating GSWs  Tactical Carry/Ready Techniques  Reloading/Transitioning to the handgun  Single/Multiple target engagements 3-yards to 50-yds  Shooting on-the-Move  Close-Quarters Qualification Course The following items are required:  Duty handgun/3 x magazines  Patrol rifle/3 x magazines (mag pouch, chest rig, or plate carrier)  Eye/Hearing protection  Duty or Tactical armor Ammunition Required: 350-rds Handgun/350-rds Rifle NOTE **This is a Handgun and Rifle event. Must be qualified to carry both firearms**
