Let’s talk tuition. We’re here to help. Johnson & Wales University
Create a financial plan that works for you. Paying for college is not always an easy topic to talk about, because what is “affordable” for one family may not be for another. But the sticker price of college tuition is almost never what you end up paying — at least not at JWU. We work closely with every student to reduce the cost of college and help them build a financial plan that works for them and their family. This plan can include:
Scholarships Scholarships, whether awarded by JWU or third-party organizations, are typically based on academic merit and/or achievement rather than financial need. These awards do not need to be repaid.
Need-Based Grants These grants are usually determined by financial need and based on completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). These can include federal grants such as Pell, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), various state-sponsored grants and more. The best part? You don’t have to pay these back either!
Incentive Grants Many colleges, including JWU, offer incentive grants to encourage early engagement in campus visits and completion of the FAFSA.
Loans Most students are eligible for low-interest federal loans that can be repaid over a number of years. Additionally, many private lenders such as banks and credit unions offer student loans as well.
Working While in College Federal Work-Study provides part-time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. JWU also offers many part-time student employment opportunities for students of all economic backgrounds. Learn more at: jwu.edu/payingforcollege
