HONORS PROGRAM
If you are committed to getting more out of your education, the JWU Honors Program can provide you with an opportunity to pursue a strong and meaningful academic experience. Through the Honors Program, we provide academically advanced students with an honors-caliber education that enriches the university curriculum and builds a diverse community of scholars.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN THE HONORS PROGRAM? • Academically rigorous curriculum • Smaller class sizes • Opportunity to work one-on-one with faculty on an honors thesis • Designation of University Honors Scholar on academic transcripts, one of the highest academic honors awarded by the university.
HOW DO I BECOME A PART OF JWU’S HONORS PROGRAM? Domestic or international undergraduate students are invited to apply for the Honors Program if they meet the following criteria: - A GPA of 3.5 or greater - Rank in the top 20% of their class The application requirements also include submitting an essay. If a student is not accepted into the Honors Program at the beginning of their first year, they may re-apply after the first semester if they meet eligibility requirements.
