November 2020 What a year this has been! Who would have thought that we would have witnessed a global pandemic, Covid-19 which forced schools to shut down, employees to
work remotely, and people to stay inside their homes in an attempt to contain the spread of the disease; riots in the USA galvanised by the death of George Floyd, bushfires in New South Wales, Australia; a massive explosion in Beirut; a Pakistan International Airlines flight crashed into houses; Floods in Indonesia's and volcanic eruptions in the Philippines; Hundreds of billions of locusts swarmed through parts
of East Africa and South Asia; loss of loved ones. What have we learned during these past 8 months? What has God been teaching us about ourselves? Have we drawn closer to Him in the study of the word and in prayer? Will we come out of this period stronger?
We can acknowledge that it’s God’s grace and mercy that we can still stand despite what is happening around us. We have a purpose and that is to tell of God’s goodness, his love and kindness to the world. Please remember that this season will pass, so hold on. Don’t forget a phone call or video call can mean a lot so please
connect with each other.
