PROJECT EXAMPLES ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT PLAN Client: Thomas Gainsborough School Role: Asbestos compliance management, document management service Project size: Complete an AMP review and update with the new the ACM data We were approached to complete an asbestos management plan (AMP) review and update for Thomas Gainsborough School. We established that the existing AMP was insufficient, lacking in any detail and ultimately not fit for purpose. The AMP was subjected to a complete re-write and involved detailed collaboration between our team and the premises manager at the school. The new AMP now provides the school with a comprehensive and detailed document, setting how they intend to manage their asbestos containing materials (ACM), complete asbestos contractor reviews and monitor/review staff training requirements.

GASCOIGNE WEST PHASE 1, BARKING AND DAGENHAM Client: BeFirst and Wates Residential Role: Principal designer Project size: 201 tenure-blind family homes Appointed to provide principal designer services on one phase of a major £800m regeneration scheme. We developed a concept stage report to outline the significant risks which formed part of the design risk document and assisted in identifying, obtaining and collating the pre-construction information. We provided this information to designers and contractors, ensured designers were complying with their duties and prepared and implemented the health and safety file on completion. During construction, we worked closely with the project team, focussing on key risk items during workshops and design meetings to capture additional health and safety information.
