Fall Province Meeting Sunday, Sept 27, 2015. Fall Province Rho meeting at SC Delta Chapter, 509 Lincoln St, on the USC campus, 1 – 5 pm, lunch provided. Each EA and ET is asked to attend.

In Memoriam – Louie Smith, Past ESA Eminent Supreme Archon Dr. Louis E. Smith (Drake ’51) passed to our Chapter Eternal on Wednesday, July 29. He was 85 years old, our senior-most Past ESA. Advisors Our goal is for every chapter to have at least 5 advisors. So far, only SC Gamma and SC Sigma do not meet those goals. We are working on both to help recruit volunteers.

SC Sigma Social John Deas, Province Deputy Archon and SC Sigma Chapter Advisor, is hosting a social for area alumni volunteers that might be interested in meeting the Colony members. This is scheduled for Sat, Aug 22, 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, 1814 Chestnut Hill Dr, Tega Cay, SC 29708. Attire is casual, and food and beverage is provided. SC Gamma Advisor Meeting Alumni of SC Gamma Chapter at Wofford have been invited to an organizational meeting to form an advisory committee on Sunday afternoon, Sept 13 at 1 pm. National News University of Richmond SAE Chapter Closed The University of Richmond has indefinitely suspended the SAE chapter.

Discipline Hearings Following a chapter trial when discipline is imposed upon a member, as stated in Section 62 of the Fraternity Laws, the member’s first appeal is to the Province Council instead of to the Supreme Council.

SC Gamma Gets New House Wofford College announced plans for a new Greek Village for fraternities and sororities to be built on campus. The older houses have been demolished, and occupation is expected in spring 2016.

Extension Newberry College A brief discussion will be held with Angelo Geter, Greek Advisor, about their plans for future fraternity expansion. There are 3 IFC fraternities – KA, Theta Chi and TKE, averaging 25 members.

Chapter News SC Nu Tailgating will be at the usual spot for football games, at Larry’s (formerly known as Friars) in Clemson. After the fall Clemson has already bought the property and plans to tear it down and build apartments.

The chapter advisory committee will meet on Thursday evening, Sept 3, 5:30 pm, at the office of Dave Merry, Southland Log Homes, in Piedmont.

SC Delta Parents’ weekend is Oct 16-17, and Alumni Reunion is Friday, Nov 13.

The TGE – Experience Progress Report As part of the TGE, all

collegiate members must fulfill the seven requirements of membership in order to be a member in good standing. Every year, chapters’ standards boards should perform an Experience Progress Report to make sure that their members are fulfilling these requirements. The final form listing all of the members, their expectation information and their penalties should be submitted to the Member Services Department at the Fraternity Service Center and the Province Archon no later than August 15.
