Solution 2: Repair the windows registry

1. Navigate to the start tab.

2. Write "command" and do not click on enter in this step.

3. Hold the Ctrl + Shift keys and now hit on enter.

4. It will ask for the permission dialog box and hit on yes.

5. You will notice a black box appearing on your desktop.

6. Type regedit and then click on enter.

7. Select the export tab in the file menu.

8. Locate a place where you want to save the QuickBooks.

9. Navigate to the filename field and type in the name of the backup file.

10. Head to the export range box and make sure the branch is selected

11. Click on the save tab.

12. Check if the file is saved in the reg format.
