HEADMASTER'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents, We were delighted to welcome Alex Falase-Koya online on Wednesday as Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed an author and illustrator event. Further details of the event are outlined later in the Herald. Year 6 benefitted from an educational trip to Bentley Priory on Wednesday. Madame Mitchell planned a very entertaining day, where the children learnt all about the Battle of Britain and the important work carried out by the WAAF during the Second World War. All who went were full of praise for the venue and the learning experience afforded to the children. Thank you to Madame Mitchell and her team for accompanying the children. On Friday, 5JS treated us to a superb assembly on the Winter Olympics. The children were certainly well prepared and performed with a confidence rarely seen at this age. I must congratulate the group and Miss Shah for writing and directing the assembly so well. The school also enjoyed an assembly on the Chinese New Year on Wednesday. An informative presentation by Miss Parker taught us all a great deal about the celebrations, meaning and history behind this important and special time of year in the Chinese calendar. I wish all those within our community who are celebrating, a very Happy New Year. I look forward to welcoming you all to Quainton Hall on Monday evening for the Heads’ Briefing. The evening will enable myself and Miss Haynes to report on the development of a range of exciting initiatives and estate plans for Summer 2022 and 2023. Fr Mike has circulated an email inviting all parents, so do please respond directly to him if you intend to come along.
