THE QUAINTON HERALD Issue 109 – 21st January 2022

HEADMASTER'S MESSAGE Dear Parents, We continue to monitor the cases of Covid within the School and take advice from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). Year 5 has had a minor outbreak and we have taken precautions to limit the spread. I request that any child showing symptoms does not come into school prior to taking a PCR test with a negative result. The advice from UKHSA is to continue to offer face-to-face education unless the child is required to isolate. Schoolwork will be provided to those children isolating due to Covid, but completion of the work will not be compulsory if the child is feeling unwell. Please accept that the work may take the staff a short time to collate due to their daily teaching commitments. Sport continues and we have had mixed fortune this week with the girls’ football. Radlett proved too strong for us last Friday, but we fared better against St Christopher’s with two out of the three teams winning. I look forward to the Swimming Gala and other events taking place next week. Miss Theodore-Elliott (Evie) will be leaving the Nursery at the end of the month as she starts her new career as an English teacher in South Korea. This is an exciting move for Evie and we wish her all the best for the future. Evie’s infectious smile and bubbly personality will be missed; all the best.
