THE QUAINTON HERALD Issue 106– 3rd December 2021
HEADMASTER'S MESSAGE Dear Parents, I start by commenting on the new variant of Covid. With heightened concern due to Omicron, I have reviewed the end of term events. The school will run all events at school and at Trinity Church as normal and there will be no cancellation of the various concerts unless explicitly directed to do so by the DfE. Parents attending events will be asked to take a Lateral Flow Test before arriving at school. Masks will be compulsory and seating will be set up to allow for social distancing. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID SYMPTOMS. For families who have a positive case within the household, we ask that children remain at home until a negative PCR result is confirmed. Mrs Shaw will be advising all parents, so do please contact her if you have any concerns or questions. There are numerous events next week that include the EYFS, Pre-prep and Prep School children, so please make sure you are aware of all events within the School Calendar. The Drama Club treated us to a superb performance from the production, ‘High School Musical’ on Wednesday and Thursday morning. The performance was quite simply outstanding, made even more incredible by the fact that the children have had only eight rehearsals since the beginning of term. Well done and thank you to all those children involved, as well as to Miss Shah who runs the Drama Club and Mrs Ford who supported with the rehearsals. Our U9 and U11 teams have had a number of netball and football fixtures verses Aldenham this week. I am so pleased that interschool competition continues at this time, as there is nothing better than seeing the children return from these matches so full of enthusiasm.
