PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DUST DEVILS The Pasco office is partnering up with the Tri Cities Dust Devils baseball team this season. We are sponsoring the Dust Devils Homestand Hero program. Each homestand, one local Hometown Hero will be recognized as the “Homestand Hero” presented by John L. Scott. We will also have our logo on the scoreboard during the presentation. Debbi is working on gathering nominations for these Homestand Heroes in conjunction with the Homes for Heroes program she is affiliated with. Debbi says, “This project is to recognize and honor a person from each Hero group. We added two additional categories in response to the virus and new heroes that have emerged. Hero groups include firefighters, Law Enforcement, Military, Healthcare Workers/EMS, Teachers, Truck Drivers and Food Services.” We are encouraging the community to nominate heroes by going to www.tcherorewards.com and entering their heroes.

A day where everything comes together on schedule. 4. What was your first job? What did you learn from it? My first job was a pea combine opperator. I learned that you really don’t need much sleep to conquer the day.
6. Who has been your biggest influence? My father. 7. What skill would you like to master? I would like to master the skill of investing. 8. What is your life motto? There are no bad days, just bad moments. 9. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? I would have dinner with my Grandpa, who has passed away.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU! Carlye Smedley is our newest member of the marketing team! She is a Senior at Walla Walla University and will be with us through the summer. Make sure you say hi and introduce yourself!
My mom told me this because I am too much of a perfectionist: being scared of failure is the biggest mistake you can make. That fear is what keeps you from achieving your full potential, and the only one who will give you a hard time for that mistake is you. 6. Coffee or tea? Both, but mostly coffee lately.
1. Why did you get into real estate? My department chair at Walla Walla University mentioned to me that she was friends with Dennis and that he needed someone from our department to help with graphics and marketing. I was super excited to learn about how real estate offices function and to be a part of a local business like John L. Scott, so I met with Dennis and Irene! 2. Who inspires you? I would say my biggest inspiration is my mom. She is the hardest working person I know, and she never limits her own abilities. If she doesn’t know something, she will learn it and teach it to others. She is such a giver and a positive person, as well as a huge support for anyone she meets, and she drives me to be a better person. 3. If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be? I would definitely choose a Thanksgiving dinner! I love mashed potatoes too much and everything served at Thanksgiving dinner is fantastic. Unfortunately, my waistband would suffer from this meal choice (haha).
7. What’s your favorite place to travel to? Why? Home! I come from the very Northern tip of Vancouver Island, in Coal Harbour (Canada). We live right on the ocean in a small fishing community. I love my home town because it is tiny and friendly, and everyone knows each other. We don’t have any stop lights and we have access to so many secluded beaches, caves, and mountains so I grew up exploring every weekend with my family. I love that I can go caving, diving, mountain climbing, surfing, hiking, rappelling, fishing and dirt biking all in my town! 8. Would you rather live where it snows all the time or where the temperature never goes below 100°? That’s a hard one, I love all seasons! I think I would choose the warmer temperature simply because I could do more of the outdoor activities I love like rock climbing and dirt biking! Those things aren’t as fun in the snow. 9. What is one goal you would like to accomplish in your lifetime? I hope to one day work at a children’s hospital as an event planner/fundraiser!
4. You have a day off. What do you do?
10. What’s the best part of your job?
My boyfriend and I would probably take our dog to the mountains and go camping with our dirt bikes!
I have only been here a few weeks, but I would say the best part is the people! From the second I walked in to John L. Scott, I was met with smiles and kindness. Everyone here is so welcoming and I love how we are encouraged to learn and grow here.
