OPTIONS for everybody Our uniform has been selected to allow for many styles to best suit your comfort and preferred fit. This means you can wear your own shoes and bottoms, as long as they conform to the standards listed in this catalogue and the agenda guidelines. Please note that while you may wear your own bottoms, all tops must be logoed merchandise purchased from Cambridge Uniforms. You can check out our selection of crested tops on page 5.
01 l THE UNIFORM
The purpose of our school uniform is to assist in creating a learningfocused environment, reflective of our school’s values and identity. The uniform should help embody school pride and encourage students to represent their school in a positive light while fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. Students must adhere to the uniform guidelines listed below on all school days (8:50 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) unless otherwise specified by the student council or school administration.

All tops must be purchased from Cambridge Uniforms
Choose from a variety of styles to create different looks. From our casual sweatshirt options to our more formal golf shirts and v-necks, mix and match tops to create an outfit. We recommend owning at least two polo shirts and a sweater or sweatshirt for colder weather. Jackets and outerwear may be your own; however, during school hours, outerwear should be removed to show school-branded uniform tops. Outerwear during colder temperatures will only be permitted over a minimum of two Cambridge John Knox uniform pieces, with uniform branding being visible. During winter months, try wearing additional layers under your uniform for extra warmth. Grace wears her own jacket over two layers of branded JKCS tops with the JKCS logo visible >

Shoes may be your own, but please note that they must be appropriate for a school environment. Acceptable styles include sneakers, dress shoes, and flats. Unacceptable styles include open toed shoes (such as slides or sandals), or heeled shoes (posing safety concerns). BOTTOMS The best kind of uniform pant is one that fits your body and comfort. That's why you have the option to buy from Cambridge OR purchase your own pants from a generic store. Kilts and skirts can be bought from Cambridge. Aim for a clean and simple fit with not too many embellishments. Avoid pants that are made of fleece, denim, or dry-fit material (such as track pants, jeans, leggings, or sweatpants). how to ACCESSORIZE Adding accessories and finishing touches to your uniform not only helps you look more put together, but can also be a great way to add a touch of your own personal style. Try pairing your uniform with your favourite chain or necklace, a complimentary belt or watch, or a matching tie or scrunchie.

KILT tips When shopping for kilts and skirts, make sure you buy a size that fits just right: don't buy a size up or down. If you kilt is too long, avoid rolling it. Instead, use hemming tape to adjust the length accordingly. Be sure to wear bike shorts underneath your skirt or kilt! For colder months, wear long socks with your kilt/skirt.

We encourage you to wear formal uniform items every Tuesday to foster an environment of respect for chapels and advisories. This is your chance to break out your best pieces and sharpest looks, do your hair or makeup, and feel confident. You should remain in formal attire for the duration of the school day. Please note that you are not required to purchase a set “formal uniform”, but rather, encouraged to dress your best.
