Water transportation is one of the most important way for tourists to move around in Bangkok. Floating hinges enable a water transport pier that is accessible at any river flood-level. This feeds to a tourist information centre, the extended market and the MRT. The form of the canopies adapts vernacular forms as an urban figure

LIBRARY
Library - a symbol of knowledge, serves two basic functions, place for reading and storage of books.
These two functions required contrasting spaces, presence of light and absence of light.
FORM OF ARCHITECTURE
Architecture was placed on the water with a cylinder shape with three reasons.
To minimize the building foot print.
To prevent full-day shading area.
To minimize the effect on wind direction to the existing nature habitation.
Also, vertical building help connects the circulation to seashore, to enjoy the beauty of nature.

WORKING EXPERIENCE
More than hosting
Music is often created for a specific spatial atmosphere, requiring various degrees of interactions between musicians and audience in a unique occasion. The role of music center is not just for hosting musical performance, but also stimulating youngsters’ talent by providing platform for making music.
In an area filled with energy and clamor, we propose an exterior stage in addition to an interior auditorium, hosting various form of live contemporary music including jazz, rock and band music; By stretching out servant space to utilize the music center, backstage, practice rooms can be shared for both stages, rented for outside youngsters to practice and produce music.
Urban Linkage
The small massing housing café along Takeshita Street confines the streetscape, with an underground gallery and exhibition space linking to the entrance hall of the auditorium, promoting music to the public. In between two building masses creates a sunken plaza linking towards the lush landscape and shrine, providing a recreational spot during the shopping journey.

ROLE OF WZQ CUHK TEAM
In the beginning, we need to have two site visit for at least two times. We need to observe the need of the village and doing survey. We would also collaborate with the mainland universities to do the land and river survey. After the first trip, we gathered some basic information and drafted a proposal.By doing second investigation trip, we confirmed the need of the villages and start the planning of detail procedures of construction.
Besides the organizer role, the WZQ team of CUHK also take up a design and build task of a pavilion at the entrance of village to serve as a gathering space for villagers. The design was proposed by the other students in our team and we help to refine the design and the construction drawings under the supervision of our supervisor, Prof. Edward Ng, Yan Yung from CUHK.
