Relay to raise $$$ for cancer programs
SEARCH Search this blog:
The American Cancer Society is hoping to raise more than $1 million during its 12th Relay For Life of Westerville. Residents and corporations organize teams to raise money for loved ones, and then honor those lives with an 18-hour relay around the event track to symbolize the ongoing pursuit to cure the disease. To date, 36 teams with more than 240 participants have raised more than $30,000. Money raised supports various Cancer Society programs. The 2010 Relay For Life of Westerville will begin June 25 when cancer survivors are honored during the survivor lap on the Westerville Central High track at 6 p.m. The survivor reception immediately follows in the Westerville Central commons. Any cancer survivor in the community and a guest are welcome to attend at no cost. Any additional guests may also participate with a requested $5.00 donation. Dinner
