PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION (PM&R) RESIDENCY PROGRAM Faculty

LEADERSHIP Nandita Keole, MD Program Director

Dr. Keole is the Service Chief of the Department of PM&R at the Phoenix VA Medical Center. She completed her medical training at Seth G.S. Medical College in India and PM&R residency at the Rehabilitation Institution of Michigan/Wayne State University in Michigan. This was followed by a fellowship in spine care and pain management at the University of Florida. Dr. Keole has additional board certification in Electrodiagnostic medicine. She has been in practice since 2006 and moved to the Valley in 2012. Since 2014 she has been a physiatrist at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and is adjunct faculty at the University of Arizona serving as a capstones preceptor for their medical students.

Catherine Foll, MD

Associate Program Director Dr. Foll completed obtained her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her first year of residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She completed PM&R residency at Carolinas Medical Center. She provides inpatient rehabilitation care at HonorHealth Rehabilitation hospital and HonorHealth Shea Hospital.

Ronald Quang, MD Medical Director

A native of Cleveland, OH, Dr. Quang received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 1998 and completed his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Metrohealth Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio. Following residency, Dr. Quang served on the faculty at the UCLA/VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. In only his first year there, he was awarded Outstanding Physician of the Year due to his accomplishments for teaching resident physicians and medical students at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Since moving to Scottsdale, AZ in 2006, Dr. Quang has continued his passion for treating patients in inpatient rehabilitation facilities and currently serves as the Medical Director and Chief of Staff at HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Affiliation with Select Medical.

FACULTY Arthur DeLuigi, DO Dr. De Luigi is the Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Director of Sports Medicine for the Mayo Clinic Arizona. Dr. De Luigi is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Sports Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Pain Medicine, and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

Richard Kovan, MD Dr Kovan attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his PM&R Residency at the University of Toledo. He is the Arizona Regional Medical Director for US Physiatry. He is also the Medical Director for Abrazo Central Campus inpatient rehabilitation unit in Phoenix and staff physiatrist at HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Scottsdale

Tod Levine, MD Dr Levine attended Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC and completed his Neurology Residency/Fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis, MO. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. He has served as Chairman of Neuromuscular Section of the American Academy of Neurology and is also the past President of the Arizona Neurological Society. He joined the HonorHealth PM&R Residency Faculty in 2019

John Sollenberger, DO Dr. Sollenberger attended Midwestern University at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed both his preliminary year and PM&R residency at University of Pennsylvania Health Systems. His sports medicine fellowship training was through Northwest Spine and Sports Physicians. He is a staff physiatrist at the Phoenix VA Medical Center.

Bruno Subbarao, DO Dr. Subbarao is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his PM&R residency training at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami and underwent fellowship training in polytrauma/traumatic brain injury at the Audie L. Murphy VA in San Antonio. He is the lead physician for the Polytrauma Program at the Phoenix VA Medical Center.

Jenpin Weng, MD Dr. Weng is a staff physiatrist at the Phoenix VA Medical Center. He is an Air Force veteran. He attended University of Texas Medical Branch for medical school. He continued his training in PM&R residency at the University of Virginia followed by a Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He joined the VA after 9 years in private practice.

Laura Wilner, MD Dr. Wilner is employed by Phoenix Children’s Hospital and serves as Division Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Medical Director of the inpatient rehabilitation program. She graduated from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. Her first year of residency was at Rush University Medical Center in pediatrics followed by residency training in PM&R and fellowship training In Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dr. Wilner is board certified in general PM&R and in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. Dina Zaza, MD Dr. Zaza is a Staff Physiatrist at the Phoenix VA Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Ross University. She completed her medical internship at SUNY Downstate Medical University in Brooklyn and PMR Residency training at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Subsequently she completed a fellowship in Electrodiagnostic Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
