Joeris General Contractors, LLC was originally founded as Joeris & Clauss Company in 1967. Leo Joeris and Raymond Claus started the business with a commitment to meeting the obligations of their mentor who had died in a plane crash. They wanted his legacy to be one of integrity and the best way to ensure that was to complete the projects he had begun. And so was born a construction company founded on the principles of integrity, trust, commitment and partnership.
Since that time, Joeris has evolved and grown, but we have never wavered from our roots. Today, we approach each client and each project with a commitment to creating a powerful partnership. One that honors the needs of our client while allowing Joeris to lean into our mission of ātransforming people and placesā across Texas. Through this mission we are able to honor Leoās legacy while impacting the future of communities where we live, work and build.
Our current bonding capacity of $2,000,000,000 allows us to
construct large, single or multi-phased projects. We have been bonded by the same company for our entire 59+ year history.

This approach has gained us outstanding success in completing projects under budget and ahead of schedule.

When Leo Joeris started this general contracting company in 1967, he laid its foundation with one simple principle: first build trust. He understood that everything else we build depends on trust.

After half a century of building and growing into all parts of Texas, that foundation has never cracked.
For many years, Joeris was led by the Joeris Way. It wasnāt a list of work rules or even a code of conduct. Itās something inside each employee, their work ethic and personal belief that doing a good job is the minimum standard.
When Leo Joeris established this company, he didnāt start āThe Joeris Way.ā He inspired it. Leo inspired it by believing in the people who worked for him, hard work, a quality
product and by always putting his employees and their families first. But best of all, Leo inspired Gary, his son. Gary now continues the legacy his father gave him.
In 2019, led by Gary Joeris, Joeris sought to re-capture the spirit and teachings of our founder and to start a new Joeris Journey, an effort that highlights our values-based leadership culture resulting in transformation across our company and in every project and community we touch.
Built on the spirit, meaning, message and execution of the Joeris Way, the newly refined Joeris Journey includes our updated Values & Mission statements.
