Design allows me to live a life through rose coloured glasses, seeing the beauty in the old and the new and wanting to revive the life of old beautiful buildings and interior spaces.

The design apporach was to create a major contrast with the exterior and allow the space to feel bigger and brighter, despite its narrow width. My chosen concept was ‘surreal’. It revolves around post-modernism and wanting to create a space that doesnt feel real. The idea was to create a dramatic contrast of styles from the exterior being a traditional victorian terrace and designing the interior to be a post-modern funland.

Dror Benshetrits peacock armchair. Designed in 2009 by Studio Dror
The project brief was to design an exibition stand, around a chosen chair that would be suitable for commercial use. The exhibition stand was to be transported to multiple exhibitions and to be displayed for 3 months, with the main objective to compliment the chosen chair, as well as the designers works.
3 Exhibition Design
My concept ‘Infinite’ explores the artistry and craftmanship of the peacock chair and its design. The design itself consists of 3 peices of felt wrapped around a metal base and pinned together. No stitching, no glue and no nails. With this way of constructing the chair, the folds create a pattern and a focal point for the user of the chair to be guided towards the chair and to take a seat.
