THE FEAST TABERNACLES THE INGATHERING THE END OF THE WORLD “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” (Jn 4:34-35).

The work of the END is the great harvest, not of lost souls, as many suppose, but of gathering that which has already been planted. This is a time of great joy in bringing in the harvest. “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Ps 126:6).

Solomon in his wisdom reveals that there is a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. For two thousand years the seed of the word of God has spread to the ends of the earth. Every nation on this planet has as least heard the of the name of Jesus. What determines if the seed of the Word will bring forth, is what type of soil it is planted in.

God, the husbandman, has been waiting patiently for the harvest, for his precious fruit to become ripe, sending both the former and the latter rain to feed and cultivate that which was planted. When the time is right, Jesus said, “ ….then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven” (Mr 13:27).

When will this great harvest happen? Jesus called it the end of the world, the time of the finish of God’s work with man. The Law being our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, a shadow of good things to come, not the very image, reveals the harvest of His saints in this feast.

The ingathering was at the END of the year (Ex 23:16, Ex 34:22). The Great Harvest is prophesied to be at the End, wrapping up the work of God, bringing His wheat into His barn.

The harvest is truly ripe today. If we have our eyes open, we can see the tares have been separated. We are able to judge the difference between the wheat and tares, and by their fruit ye shall know them. It is our duty to watch and pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send

laborers into His field to gather all that have received the Word, and have brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. “And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe� (Re 14:14-15).
