Resurrection Power

The Believer is afforded Resurrection power, not because Jesus lives but because Jesus died. At Calvary’s Cross, Jesus paid the penalty of sin for the believing sinner and broke the power of sin. Jesus IS alive.

He is sitting at the Right Hand of the Throne of God. His Resurrection is proof that EVERY sin is atoned for and it’s power broken for whosoever chooses to believe upon Him. Knowing this, Who Jesus is and what He has done, there is no doubt of His Resurrection.

Suffering greatly on our behalf, our precious Savior died and rose again so we could have abundant life. He did it so we could walk in that resurrection power—the power that raised Him from the dead—every day of our lives.

In the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, He redeemed what Adam gave over to Satan in the Garden of Eden through his disobedience. All of the authority, dominion and power that rightfully belonged to us as children of God was returned in Christ’s obedience.

“Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your esh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Col 2:12-15)

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is cruci ed with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin” (Rom 6:1-6).
