“Purity of heart is a work in progress in which both God and man share responsibility. Many scriptures show that God will cleanse by pardoning sin. But our responsibility in cleansing is very important and frequently mentioned along with what we must do to be cleansed. Notice how clearly James shows purifying is our responsibility: "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (James 4:8).

There is nothing more pure and beautiful than a person who always speaks truthfully with a childlike heart. Do not allow hate to take root in your heart. Angels only care about what you look like on the inside. A pure heart is the vessel that contains a soul's true beauty.

~ Max Lucado ~The spirit of God is pure and He leads us to the truth. Eventhough most people refuse to notice or agree, we live in a highly spiritual world. Everything we see physical isn’t always as it is. There’s so much more happening in the spiritual realm (Yes sis! There IS a spiritual realm). With so many different spirits influencing people these days, the Spirit of God is the one spirit that we can trust to lead us in the right path. There’s no evil in him. If we surrender our hearts totally to Him, he will lead us in the right path and help us not to fall into the lies of this age.
These days, everyone seems to have their own definition of what love is (Just like almost everything else! This is definitely a ‘selfie’ world! lol). We hear statements like; ‘let love lead’ or ‘love wins’ and so much more like that. While these are totally true statements in themselves, the intentions behind them aren’t always so. Condoning with sin in the name of ‘love’ is definitely not true love because sin destroys both here on earth and in eternity. True love wouldn’t see your sister doing something that will destroy her and say ‘I love her, so she can do whatever she wants!’ I mean that just doesn’t make sense! A pure heart is heart led by love –
true love. True love is Jesus. 1Corithinians 13:4-8 gives us the perfect definition of what true love is.
The human heart really is the most unreliable thing that exists. A Christian that seems so perfect on the outside can have a heart filled with selfrighteousness, pride, dishonesty, jealousy and other things. When I realize what darkness there sometimes is in my own heart, all I can do is bow before my heavenly Father and ask that He will purify my heart.
God wants us to be pure in every aspect of our lives. He is holy and He wants us to be holy. Why would we give sin a chance to overtake our lives? Sin tries to take control over our hearts in every possible way. There are so many opportunities in the world to do evil. But God wants to refine us. God has better things for us. God says in the Bible that He wants to give us a clear conscience, a pure heart, a pure mind, in Jesus Christ.
I can no longer live with an impure heart. The joy of a pure heart is too good. You get addicted to holiness. You know that sin pollutes your heart and that you lose the beauty of the knowledge of having a clear conscience. I’m not perfect. In ten years, I still won’t be perfect. But my heart IS being cleansed. My heart IS being made pure through the FIRE of the Holy Spirit.
Allow God to cleanse your heart. Ask Him. Allow Him to show you all things that you are not aware of. And be prepared to die to self. Be prepared to bow down before the pure, Almighty of God. Let Him cleanse you. He loves you. He wants to SET YOU FREE. He wants to save you.
God wants to give you a new heart. A pure heart. Ask Him. Don’t be afraid. Accept the cleansing. The fire can burn fiercely. But God does it out of love. He wants to cleanse you because He loves for you. Ask Him for it.
