“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).

“Jesus had desired to gather His people together, as a mother hen safely gathers her chicks under her wings, but they were unwilling. These blind leaders had hidden the truth from the gullible people of Israel, and so He delivered a blistering prophecy to them, "Behold, your House - the Temple of God, is being left to you desolate! For I say to you, from now on, you will not see Me, until you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’"

The disciples continued to trust confidently, that Jesus was the promised Messiah. They were looking forward to receiving important positions in His coming kingdom, while Jesus knew that the kingdom He came to establish would have to be postponed, until His second advent. It was as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, that the disciples came to Him privately, and asked about His prophetic world. "Tell us," they said, "when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

“Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple”

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

“Signs of the End of the Age”

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world” (Mat 24:1-3)?

“In The Day of His Preparation”

“He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily. For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches. The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings” (Nam 2:1-4).

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all” (Luk 17:26-29).

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Pro 3:5-6).

Be ready and trust God, even when it seems difficult to trust someone you’ve never met. He will never let you down.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isa 41:10).

God offers us comfort when we need it the most. Let yourself be guided by Him because He knows what’s best for you.

Every situation you go through is designed to teach you perseverance. Don’t shy away from situations that test your faith, because you’ll be stronger in the end.

When we go through difficulties and hardships, we must examine and strengthen our faith, because it gives us the strength we need to persevere. Living “by faith, not by sight” means we can look past the challenges before us, knowing that God loves us, and is actively working to “orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful.

“If Christ has died for me, ungodly as I am, without strength as I am, then I cannot live in sin any longer, but must arouse myself to love and serve Him who has redeemed me”. ~ Charles Spurgeon ~

“The reason why many are still troubled, still seeking, still making little forward progress is because they haven't yet come to the end of themselves. We're still trying to give orders, and interfering with God's work within us”. ~ A. W. Tozer ~

“God seldom calls us for an easier life, but always calls us to know more of him and drink more deeply of His sustaining grace”. ~ John Piper ~

In the choice of good and bad actions, man is free and he commits them according to his own will. For example, if he wishes, he can pass his time in praising God or he can be occupied with other thoughts. He can be an enkindled light through the fire of the love of God and a philanthropist loving the world or he can be a hater of mankind and engrossed with material things. He can be just or cruel. These actions and these deeds are subject to the control of the will of man himself; consequently, he is responsible for them.

“"Remember who you are. Don't compromise for anyone, for any reason. You are a child of the Almighty God. Live that truth.”

“Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them.”

~

"He who lays up treasures on earth spends his life backing away from his treasures. To him, death is loss. He who lays up treasures in heaven looks forward to eternity; he’s moving daily toward his treasures. To him, death is gain." ~

Randy Alcorn ~

It is a good idea to be ambitious, to have goals, to want to be good at what you do, but it is a terrible mistake to let drive and ambition get in the way of treating people with kindness and decency. The point is not that they will then be nice to you. It is that you will feel better about yourself.
