problem in the world and, with spotty electricity, much of Haiti struggles to pump enough water for daily life. Each of OBOV's solar-powered water stations impacts the lives of thousands of people with the gift of abundant, reliable clean water. Sustainability and Logistics. Having completed well over 200 water projects means that OBOV's first job each year is water system maintenance. Through our partners and shipping channels, OBOV's supply chain works year-round sending filters, water systems, pumps, parts, pipe, tools and other supplies as well as medicines to support our clinic efforts in each country. Partnerships. OBOV continues to expand its strategic partnerships with other organizations working in Haiti, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Reengaged our Medical Mission Team in Guatemala. Covid-19 was particularly difficult in Guatemala, which only re-opened in May 2022. OBOV's fully functioning medical outreach team in Guatemala immediately swung into action in the Summer, performing bimonthly medical and dental clinics, as well as water system installations. Successfully Sent Multiple Shipments to Cuba. For the first time in several years, OBOV (along with its partner Methodists United in Prayer) was able to send sets of replacement filters, new water systems and well over a ton of medicines to eastern Cuba. Permanent Eye Clinic in Haiti is Thriving. Led by OBOV's Isaiah Lapointe, the blessing of sight is a reality for many new patients at our eye clinic in Arcahaie. This is one of very few eye care facilities in the country. Disaster Relief following Hurricane Ian. Partnering with Bay Hope Church and Hope and Health Project, OBOV sent several water filtration systems to hard-hit areas in Cape Coral to provide abundant clean water for those most affected by this devastating hurricane. Spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. As you will see on the pages that follow, each area of our ministry represents an opportunity to share the Gospel message.
