FESTIVAL PUNTO Y RAYA

O Punto y Raya (Ponto e Linha) fomenta a experimentação nas artes visuais através do uso da Forma, Cor, Movimento e Som no seu estado mais puro, evitando a representação direta. Isto torna-o universal e intemporal. Tem como missão recapturar o espírito do Cinèma Pure e do Filme Absoluto tal como formulado pela avant-garde europeia na década de 1920, consolidando esta forma artística de características únicas na interceção entre as Belas Artes e as Artes dos Media. Punto y Raya é um festival itinerante com origem em Espanha que decorre a cada dois anos em diferentes países e salas ligadas à arte contemporânea e às novas tecnologias e conta já com 8 edições. Esta seleção apresenta os 18 filmes finalistas e premiados da edição de 2018, que decorreu no CeTA (Centro de Tecnologia Audiovisual) em Wroclaw, Polónia. Punto y Raya (Dot & Line) fosters experimentation in visual arts through the use of pure Form, Colour, Motion and Sound, avoiding direct representation. This renders it universal and timeless. Its mission is to recapture the spirit of Cinéma Pure and Absolute Film formulated by the European avant-garde in the 1920s, consolidating this unique artform laying at the intersection between Fine Arts and Media. Punto y Raya is a Spanish-based itinerant film festival happening every two years in different countries and in major venues in contemporary creation and new technologies, and has had 8 editions so far. The following selection features the 18 finalist and awarded films in their 2018 edition, which took place CeTA (Audiovisual Technology Center) in Wroclaw, Poland.
