Another major storm hit the area last week, as heavy rains on Thursday, August 10 caused flooding in Barrhaven and north of the community. The heavy rains began at about 12:30 p.m. and last for more than 90 minutes. According to Environment Canada, Ottawa received between 50-75 mm of rain in that time, causing flash flooding throughout the city.
