Parents Exploring SHA

Heart to Heart

September 22 & 24, October 6 & 27, November 3 & 10 | 8:30–9:45 a.m.

Join our president, SHA administrator, and enrollment team for a relaxed morning conversation designed just for parents. Ask questions, learn about the admissions process, and enjoy a student-led campus tour while discovering what sets Sacred Heart a part.

High School Preview Night

September 29 & October 21 | 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Our Signature Admissions Event (A Must for Every Family!)

If you attend just one admissions event this fall, make it High School Preview Night. This is the most comprehensive opportunity to explore everything Sacred Heart has to offer.

Parents and daughters begin the evening together before splitting into customized experiences. Parents choose informative breakout sessions on academics, college preparation, student support, leadership, athletics, arts, and more, while students enjoy engaging activities led by current Valkyries. You'll leave with a clear understanding of the admissions timeline, what makes SHA different, and why so many families choose Sacred Heart.

Open House

Sunday, November 15 | 1:00–4:00 p.m. (Our Biggest Event of the Year!)

Experience Sacred Heart in action during our biggest event of the year! Tour campus with our students, explore classrooms, meet faculty, enjoy live performances, and discover the countless opportunities available through academics, athletics, arts, clubs, leadership, faith, and service. It's a fun-filled afternoon that brings the SHA experience to life!

High School Placement Test

December 12 | 9:00 a.m.

The HSPT is a helpful deadline for deciding on high school. Students test at the school they plan to attend, especially if they want to be considered for merit scholarships. SHA uses HSPT results and your daughter's grade-school academic record to place her in classes where she'll be challenged but not overwhelmed.

Private Tour

Looking for a more personalized experience? Schedule a one-on-one campus tour tailored to your daughter's interests and your family's questions. We'll customize your visit to help you discover how Sacred Heart is the right fit for her.

What commitments does SHA make to students and families?

Sacred Heart nurtures each student in a caring, faith-centered community rooted in our Ursuline Core Values – Reverence, Service, Leadership, and Community. We offer opportunities for holistic growth through leading academic, spiritual, artistic, athletic, and leadership programs.

We unconditionally love and support every student with HEART; create a reverent, welcoming HOME where each person is valued; foster SISTERHOOD and resilient leadership that prioritizes growth over perfection; and ensure students BELONG and are empowered to use their voices to change the world.

How will we know SHA is the best fit for our daughter?

Have her shadow for a day — it’s the best way to see how SHA fits her academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Shadow visits run Monday–Thursday, beginning Sept. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Ask questions and attend key events like High School Preview Night (Sept. 29 & Oct. 21) and Open House (Nov. 15) to learn how SHA will meet her where she is and help her grow into her best self.

Does SHA offer Tuition Assistance and what is the process?

Yes. An exceptional education is an investment in your daughter’s future, and SHA is committed to helping as many families with demonstrated financial need as possible. For 2026-2027, SHA awarded over $2 million in financial aid and scholarships.

Tuition Assistance & Scholarship applications can be completed online in late October 2026, and must be submitted by late January 2027. Aid is need-based and awarded on a first-come, first serve basis. For more information visit: sha.shslou.org/facts/.
