LETTER FROM EMILY KAREM DIRECTOR, JEAN FRAZIER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE Dear Families, At Sacred Heart Academy, we believe that developing young women as purposeful, compassionate leaders is one of the most important ways we can make the world a better place. Every student brings unique strengths, perspectives, and gifts that have the power to create positive change in the world around her. Through the Jean Frazier Leadership Institute (JFLI), students discover those strengths, find confidence in their voices, and grow into compassionate leaders grounded in purpose and integrity. Leadership development at SHA extends far beyond the classroom. Through embedded leadership learning, experiential opportunities, service, and real-world experiences, students explore who they are as leaders, develop the skills to lead effectively, and learn how to make a positive impact in their community and beyond. Our goal is not simply to prepare students for college and careers, but to inspire them to lead lives of purpose, positively impact their communities, and make the world a better place. Warmly, Emily Karem Director, Jean Frazier Leadership Institute

Leadership is a Part of Every Student’s Journey JFLI is a comprehensive leadership development program integrated throughout the SHA experience. The program is intentionally structured to provide multiple levels of engagement throughout high school, beginning with embedded curriculum that lays a strong leadership foundation. Our three-tier model progressively builds confidence and leadership skills from year to year. As students grow, they may choose to deepen their involvement with opt-in opportunities relating to their interests, passions, and future goals. Starting sophomore year, students may apply for JFLI’s capstone leadership experience which takes place during their junior and senior years. Capstones provide immersive opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, networking, experiential learning, and personalized growth pathways.
