we’re a zine, formerly short for fanzine, which is a self-made magazine that has evolved and shifted over the last 90 years. the zine is an unmatched form of publication - dipping its corners into the histories of punk rock, riot grrrl, black and queer communities, technological advances and printing of all types.

01 allow yourself to feel things allow yourself to feel things fully, both the good and the bad. don’t put limitations on your feelings. emotions like sadness, pain and happiness will help you understand yourself and realize that you are not your feelings. we are not our emotions, even though we feel them, and all emotions will pass.
take it easy on yourself. every single person makes mistakes, and something going wrong is not the end of the world. make mistakes so you can learn and grow from them. you’re constantly changing and growing, and along the way you won’t get everything right but that is okay.
you don’t have to please other people by saying yes to things that you don’t want to do. you don’t have to have a reason or a prior commitment to say no; you don’t owe an explanation to anyone. know how valuable your precious time is and don’t stretch yourself too thin. it is more than okay to say no.
