KingCake Classic
For the past several years, the JLSB has celebrated Mardi Gras with its annual King Cake Classic race, offering 5k, 10k, and 1-Mile Fun Run courses. Participants have had the option to either run, walk—or stay in bed! Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, the community was able to virtually participate in the KCC event. ues that offered wonderful spaces for friends and family to gather before and after the race event.
The King Cake Classic committee and all members of the JLSB would like to thank its partners and all supporters who have sponsored this event over the years. With the funds raised through the King Cake Classic, the JLSB has been able to make a difference in our community through its projects, such as the Red Apron Pantry, the MAGIC mentorship program at the VOA’s teen club, Artist for a Day, and the Active Kids health and wellness summer program.
Although the King Cake Classic event has now run its course, the JLSB is so proud of the work its members have done to fundraise through this event each year. Thank you for your time given and your support of the League! As always, Laissez les bon temps rouler!
