As JLSB members consider how they want to serve the League and the community for the 2022-2023 League year, we asked some of our Active members which placements have been their favorite. Here’s what they had to say!

Jennifer Pou

My favorite placement so far has been my current role as Treasurer! The role really gives you broad insight into all of the League’s activities. I also really enjoy serving on the Board and being a part of those strategic discussions. It’s really inspiring to work with such a smart and engaged group of women!

Hannah Alexander

My most fulfilling placement was MAGIC. I got to be on the launch team for the program the first year, and it was a fun learning experience! I enjoyed getting to mentor the young women who were about to graduate and enter “the real world” with practical topics such as filling out college/scholarship applications, what to wear to an interview, fashion tips/tricks, and more. We were able to build relationships with them as well as one another as a team. It was a learning year in the way of creativity, leadership, and responsibility. Seeing how the project has progressed since then makes me even more excited for the legacy that is being built around it.

Anna Priestley

My favorite placements have been within the Provisional program, as a Leader, Assistant Chairperson, and Chairperson. Developing the potential of women is the part of our mission that is nearest to my heart. I am grateful for the opportunity the League provides to meet strong women and to build up one another. I look forward to future placements where I can encourage and support my fellow League members!
