Additional League-Supported Programs

For the first project, transfers assisted at a family-friendly event at GSNETX’s STEM Center of Excellence that brought together outdoor and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities with a Valentine’s Day theme. For the second project - with Volunteers of America - Transfers spent the day beautifying the apartment complex by painting the fencing around the property, cleaning gardens, fixing and delivering lunch and engaging with the residents. Both projects included eight hours of service, engaging activities with the nonprofits’ participants and a $500 grant from the JLD for the nonprofit to use for the day’s events.
