ABOUT THE LEAGUE Founded in 1925, the Junior League of Columbia (JLC), is a 501(c)(3) not-forprofit organization made up of 1300+ women dedicated to making an impact in their community. All programs and activities are supported by League membership dues, foundation and corporate grants, fundraising, sponsorships, and other revenueproducing efforts. COMMUNITY 2025-2026 COMMUNITY IMPACT IN NUMBERS
This year, the JLC remained steadfast in advancing strategic priorities across our three core focus areas: Healthy Relationships for Children, Healthy Relationships for Women, and Early Academic Development in the Midlands. Grounded in 11 strong community partnerships, we worked to identify service gaps, elevate collaborative solutions, and direct resources where they can create meaningful, sustainable impact. The League also supported 38 additional organizations through volunteer service and donations, extending our reach and creating lasting change. Through thoughtful stewardship, strategic alignment, and a commitment to measurable outcomes, our members continue to ensure that the Junior League’s investments drive lasting, positive change for women and children in our community. -Dani Peeler, VP of Community

COLLECTION DRIVES The League launched the JLC Cares initiative to streamline member engagement through one focused monthly collection drive. Throughout the year, members donated hundreds of school supplies, hygiene products, feminine care items, canned goods, business attire, sports equipment, and children's books, meeting evolving community needs through a more focused and impactful giving strategy.
2025-2026 DONE IN A DAY PROJECTS: The Junior League's involvement during our Peer Group Sessions has been pivotal in improving relationships between children, fathers and whole families. FINANCE FUNDRAISING EVENTS SPOTLIGHT
This year was one of exceptional financial strength and growth, made possible through the generosity of our sponsors, members, and community partners. We strengthened our financial foundation by implementing thoughtful initiatives to support both the League’s long-term sustainability and our members, including updating member dues and establishing an Active Member Emergency Fund. Our fundraising efforts reached new heights, with record-breaking participation in many signature events such as Find the Good Day, Holiday Market, the Play It Forward Pickleball Tournament, and Round Up For A Cause. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our members and the continued investment of our supporters, allowing us to expand our impact throughout the community. Together, we have built a strong financial foundation that positions the League for continued success and meaningful service in the years ahead. -Taylor Huettig, VP of Finance

MEMBERSHIP MEMBERSHIP COUNCIL PILLARS For 102 years, the Junior League of Columbia has been a force for good — leading with purpose, serving our community, and creating meaningful change. And this year, that mission came to life in unforgettable ways. Throughout the year, we came together with purpose — from large General Membership Meetings to intimate gatherings in Sustainers’ homes to hands-on visits with our community partners. We welcomed families, celebrated traditions, and made room for joy — together. We created spaces where every member felt seen, valued, and connected — meeting one another not only where we serve, but where we are.

Kimberly Quarles Junior Volunteers Committee Member JLC’s Junior Volunteer program is very impactful for me because it enhances my skills in community service, hands-on experience, networking, and building friendships. I know it is never too early for women to develop leadership skills, and this program has helped all of us walk the walk. Helping young women learn to lead rather than follow is the reason I am returning to this committee again next year! 10
COMMUNICATIONS COMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL PILLARS
The Communications Council cultivates a strong brand while sharing the story of the Junior League of Columbia in both member and community-centered ways. Our members work tirelessly to create content through graphic design, photography, blog articles, Public Affairs, website, social media, press releases, print and digital marketing. This year, we held a successful advocacy day to connect with legislators at the SC state house to communicate on behalf of women across our state. We engaged in multiple digital fundraisers, leveraging our digital presence for high-yield results in Find The Good Day, Midlands Gives, Little Black Dress Initiative and smaller giving days. We successfully supported our large-scale events and highlighted members and our community sponsors and partners. We creatively shared stories of our direct impact, as well as all the connections, fun and development of our members. Looking to next year, we cannot wait to continue to deliver high-impact assets, storytelling and marketing to share the power of our organization and the women that power us. -Katherine Hilson, VP of Communications
