The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) has a history rich in service to the Charlotte area. It all began in 1926 when 30 trailblazing women answered a calling to provide support for local children and families in need, to patronize the arts and to advocate for education. From the Charlotte Nature Museum to Discovery Place to the Levine Children’s Hospital Family Resource Center, the League has left a legacy of service, dedication and compassion. Today, with more than 1,400 members and more than 15,000 hours of community service on an annual basis, the JLC continues to make its mark all over the Charlotte community.
