We are pleased to present to you this 2020 Recognition Report, which lists the many persons, organizations, corporations, foundations, and government partners who generously lent their support during our 2020 fiscal year (July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020). It is only with the help of many caring and generous hands that our work in the community is possible.

Donor Profiles ROB AND MIMIE HELM St. Vincent de Paul’s community services have grown and expanded over the past 20 years. Through it all, Mimie and Rob Helm have been loyal supporters and friends. In addition to their generous giving, Mimie served on St. Vincent de Paul’s Capital Campaign committee.

Their philanthropic involvement is inspired by the Gospel quote from 1 John 3:17: “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?”

“In these difficult times, when there is so much demand for social services, we feel fortunate that we are able to assist St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore and its many fine programs. We have great confidence in them. We invite others to join in supporting their work.”

The Helms

The Helms have also included their daughters, from an early age, in their philanthropy and service. Now grown and on their own, their daughters carry an understanding of giving forward with them as they find their own way to serve and give, like their parents, with genuine sincerity.

THE DIKE FAMILY Chima and his family moved to Baltimore in 2012, as part of his role with Constellation Energy. Looking for ways to establish stronger ties with Baltimore, they explored various volunteer organizations and community groups. After doing some volunteering with peer organizations, Chima discovered St. Vincent de Paul and saw an opportunity to not only become involved at a leadership level – but to use his network to support the agency’s many services to the local community. Through his service on the Board and related committee work, Chima has begun to make his mark – and gets a tremendous amount of fulfillment from being involved.
