What is the JJR Exceed Scholarship?
The JJR Exceed Scholarship Programme offers the opportunity to work full-time with a competitive salary upon graduation, allowing them to work alongside experienced professionals.
It is open by nomination, to third level undergraduate students in Construction Management, Engineering or a related support field.
As part of the Scholarship, JJR will cover tuition fees for the student’s final year of third-level education. This is our commitment to the individual as a student to acknowledge their commitment to us as a graduate.

Process and eligibility criteria
1. Students must be enrolled on a third level course in Construction Management, Engineering or a related support field and have completed at least 6 months of work experience with JJR.
2. The student must be nominated by their line manager and have demonstrated the below workbased performance metrics during their workexperience period with JJR:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What if the student accepts but is then subsequently unable to join JJR?
• Necessary proficiency for their level, in relevant technology and software.
• A passion for the construction industry and a desire to make a difference.
3. Once a student has been nominated by a JJR manager and the necessary eligibility criteria has been satisfied, the JJR HR team will evaluate the application along with senior leadership and, if successful, a formal offer will be made to the student to join the JJR Exceed Scholarship.
4. Upon acceptance of the offer of a place in the JJR Exceed Scholarship, the student will agree to join JJR as a full-time salaried employee for a period of two years post-graduation. Managers can reach out to the JJR HR team for further details on renumeration and salary details.
5. JJR will pay full tuition fees for the student’s final year in third-level education. The payment is made directly to the third level institution where the student is enrolled, and the transaction is managed by the JJR HR Department in co-ordination with the student.
6. The student must graduate with a minimum 2.2 degree to avail of the JJR Exceed Scholarship.
1. One of the key terms of the JJR Exceed Scholarship is the financial settlement of academic fees for the student’s final year of third-level education.
2. Should a student face unforeseen circumstances that prevent them from taking up a place on the JJR Exceed Scholarship, the offer will be secure for up to 12 months.
3. Should the student decide to withdraw from JJR Exceed Scholarship or fail to complete their thirdlevel academic course, they will be liable for full reimbursement of third- level academic fees directly to JJR.
4. Should the graduate employee cease employment with the company before the two-year minimum contract expires, they will be liable for fees paid by JJR to their third-level academic institution.
Nominating a student
1. Send your recommendation to HR using the JJR Exceed Scholarship application form.
2. HR will review the application with senior management, taking into consideration current budgets and projected resource plans.
3. If the application is approved, HR will make a formal offer to the student and manage the administration of tuition fee payment.
