An Impact That Lasts: A Family Member’s Story

A family member of a patient at The Leaves shares a first-hand account of his experience.
“Back in the late 90s, we brought my father here He looked like he was passing on with a stroke And 2 weeks later, I came back to visit him, and he was on a walker, walking around by himself, up and animated! I realized that, aside from the physical caretaking they were doing, there was a strong spiritual thought in the staff here”
He continued with his story: “When it was time for my mother to need care like this, we brought her to The Leaves And we explained to the Christian Science Nurses the difficulty she was having And they weren’t moved by it They weren’t disturbed They worked with her and found solutions and she’s doing much better This is a family here They really team together and look after your loved one And as a family member, I feel very loved and supported too There’s a definite spiritual environment. People are thinking and working with the Christian Science thought. I’ve been very impressed and happy that she is here.”
