Staff Respond Prayerfully
"Being bighearted is about more than giving money. It's about being a generous, open and unselfish person." -A Supporter of The Leaves
Big Heart Challenge Match Coming together
as a divine community is our goal.
In keeping with that, we’re asking you to join us in prayer and doing good to our neighbor. Support healing in a way that is meaningful for you, whether that be a donation of funds, resources and/or your prayer. We're happy to announced that funds you give will be doubled through the end of the year due to the generosity of friends of The Leaves. Thank you for your love and your support of Christian Science nursing.

Lights at The Leaves The Leaves is holding its first ever Christmas light drive-thru. Visit on our opening day of Giving Tuesday, December 1st, from dark - 9 p.m and receive Christmas cookies and cocoa! No need to reserve your spot, just come celebrate the season by driving a loop at The Leaves and enjoying our lights. This is by donation only so there is no minimum cost to enter, just give what you can. The lights will be on from dark - 9 p.m. from 12/1-12/31. Drive up close to our gate and it will open for you. We're wishing y'all a very Merry Christmas!
Staff Respond Prayerfully The Leaves staff consist of great thinkers.
So how is the staff responding to praying
for the world during the coronavirus outbreak? We were filled with gratitude for all the responses we received. Below are but a handful of the bounty. "A calm, Christian state of mind is a better preventive of contagion than a drug, or than any other possible sanative method; and the 'perfect Love' that 'casteth out fear' is a sure defense" (Misc 229:24). Beloved Christian Scientists, keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love, that sin, disease, and death cannot enter them" (My. 210:2–4). Being expectant of good and thinking of Jesus' answer, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's” (Mark 12:17).
Jesus only needed to go
look in the fish’s mouth once and didn’t plan on needing to return to the fish again the next year. Even as we abide by the law and take steps like using masks, washing hands, and social distancing, these “are not themselves what heal, but Mind which is supreme” is the healer. We live in the “atmosphere of Love divine” and we’re “cared for watched over, beloved and protected” (Christian Science Hymnal 144 and 278). The kitchen staff holds a Bible study of Jesus’ healings. Staying “spiritually alert” to be law-abiding to the laws of the land and to God’s laws, keeping “no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). "The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life" (Job 33:4). Our inspiration for living and working comes from God and no contamination can occur, as we are all truly safe with, and protected by God. Studying the Creation in Genesis 1 more deeply. Praying to know there does not need to be a long recovery process. “A lie is simply a negation, nothing. So how long does it take to recover from nothing? No one can be afraid, paralyzed, or harmed by this. We cannot be stuck in a false thought pattern. God’s blessings to His children have not stopped.”
