Fresh Inspiration
HOW ARE WE TO BE PROFITABLE?

e saying “What goes up, must come down.” It’s a simple e and effect Like a pencil that is thrown into the air, it always n, illustrating the law of cause and effect Without a cause, there is d man are inseparable from one another because God is the great and man is His great effect
for us when we ’ re faced with a problem we need to work out of Christian Science? Christian Science lays the foundation of one e Cause, one effect Without God, man cannot be expressed, and d is not fully expressed Sometimes, we may be tempted to think e not necessary or useful because God can do it all anyway and n to reflect Him However, that would be saying what goes up, own, that a cause has no need of its effect
ness to God is seen in man's expression of God.
e need of its effect? Absolutely! They are one, not two. And in their unified in action, in production, in being and doing. So, when ation that suggests man is not useful to God, we can turn from and reject it as unworthy of acceptance. Man’s usefulness to God xpression of God. Love is seen in love expressed. Divine Mind is tion. Life is seen in fearlessness. Principle is seen in lawfulness. alth. God’s emanation of man makes man profitable to God, good. he scientific unity of Mind and idea, Life and expression, Truth and neither would be complete without the other
saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, have believed in God might be careful to maintain good ngs are good and profitable unto men” (Titus 3:8).
able? Man exemplifies God’s/Cause’s effect by demonstrating ugh reflection, man serves God and man Man, expressing the s God and serves His idea in good works because Cause and e separated This is how man proves his profitability In fact, we rofitability to God is not only necessary, it is inevitable As God’s ady profitable Man doesn’t need to build up to being profitable s divinely maintained through reflection, through right thinking is divinely maintained through good works through divinely we ’ re ever considering doing something good for another but nt, or concerned whether or not we should speak the truth to ed, we can remember man ’ s position as God’s reflection and go eflect, be, do, express!
mortal mind suggests that man ’ s profitability and usefulness to unnecessary, let’s each see through this lie and lift thought to see as one, complete, whole, and fully expressed!

Annual Meeting 2021 Recap

Annual Meeting at The Leaves was fresh, new and online this year! The Leaves hosted their first ever Art Auction fundraiser, featuring Christian Science artists from around the country, and a pre auction Artist Meet and Greet online. This was a great gathering of Christian Scientists from all over the nation! Annual Meeting Speaker, Caroleen Scholet spoke on "The Art of Christian Science Nursing." Brief reports of progress were shared from each of the departments and gave viewers a bird's eye view of all the good going on at The Leaves We focused on transparency, showing the numbers behind the activities of the facility, the ways we serve our patients and residents, and the projects we've completed We can't wait to report on more progress next year!
You can watch the replay on The Leaves' YouTube channel or by clicking on the link on our website at theleaves org
