It is my esteemed pleasure to bring you greetings on behalf of the National Program Committee and welcome you to the 2020-2021 Program Year. Throughout our 82 year history, Mothers have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of children through their programming efforts in chapters throughout the country. In this very unique moment, in the time that we find ourselves, our children need us more than ever to shape their perspectives and help prepare them to become our future AfricanAmerican leaders. Your chapter’s theme, “Engage, Energize & Execute in the Midst”, is very appropriate and responsive to meet these difficult and challenging times.

The Program Handbook is designed to be the reference guide for your chapter and should encompass and showcase your program plans for the year. It is my hope that your activities on the chapter and grade group level will be inspiring, stimulating and engaging. I appreciate all the hard work that you and your Program Committee have undertaken to create and produce the Brooklyn Chapter Program Handbook. Congratulations on your vision and planning to make this truly a great year.

I encourage you to be On Mission and On Purpose as we power through this program year with passion and purpose.

Yours in Jack and Jill,

Virna Alexander Rhodes, MBA National Program Committee Chair Eastern Region
