The city’s dominant landscape is shaped by anonymous buildings produced through the logic of real estate, and we move through them every day. Although these buildings may not be considered “good architecture,” they still deserve to be looked at. What produces these forms, and what shapes their expressions? Rather than simply rejecting or celebrating them, it becomes necessary to ask what kind of architectural attitude should be taken within this ordinary urban fabric.

도시 안에서, 좀처럼 주목할 가치가
있다고 여겨지지 않던 장소들 속에서
패턴과 질서가 발견되었다.
도시의 지배적인 풍경은
부동산의 논리에 따라 생산된 익명의 건물들에
의해 형성되며, 우리는 매일 그 사이를
지나간다. 비록 이러한 건물들이 ‘좋은
건축’으로 간주되지는 않을지라도, 그것들
역시 들여다볼 필요가 있다. 무엇이 이러한
형식들을 만들어 내며, 무엇이 그 표현을
형성하는가? 그것들을 단순히 거부하거나
찬양하기보다, 이 평범한 도시 조직 안에서
어떤 건축적 태도를 취해야 하는지를 묻는
일이 필요해진다.
