MUPAS Micro Setup Instructions

Setting up your MUPAS Micro device takes only a few easy steps and can be done in just a few minutes. Once set up, your device will operate without any need for maintenance. Your MUPAS Micro serial number is something you will need to set up and monitor the readings from the device. The serial number for your device can be found on the sticker attached in the middle of the enclosure.

Selecting a convenient location Your MUPAS Micro device will record various environmental readings from within your home, and proper placement will ensure maximum fidelity. When selecting the best location, consider places where you have experienced the most unexplained phenomenon, i.e., feelings, visions, voices, etc. This will allow MUPAS's sensors the best chance at simultaneously recording changes in environmental readings.

MUPAS connects to the network using either Ethernet or a Wi-Fi connection. If you are using Ethernet to connect your MUPAS to the network, select a location within reach of a network access point. If you use Wi-Fi to access the network, ensure the signal at the desired location is sufficient.

MUPAS also requires a connection to a power outlet; therefore, ensure the desired location allows for this.

If you plan on connecting your MUPAS Micro device to your home Wi-Fi network, jump to the section: First Time Powering up of your MUPAS Device using a Wi-Fi Connection.

First time Powering up your MUPAS Device using an Ethernet Connection Once the optimum location for your MUPAS Micro device has been selected, plug in the power adapter to a nearby power outlet and plug the included ethernet cable into your network. After a few minutes, several green and red lights are flashing. When you see a green light flashing just to the left or right of the copper gamma antenna (see Figure 1), 1

you know the device is up and running and communicating its readings to the network.

The green light will flash on and off every 5 seconds when it sends the current data to the MUPAS servers.

First time Powering up your MUPAS Device using a Wi-Fi Connection Once the optimum location for your MUPAS Micro device has been selected, plug in the power adapter to a nearby power outlet. After a few minutes, several green and red lights are flashing. Using a tablet, smartphone, or computer, connect to the MUPAS Micro’s Wi-Fi hotspot network: Hotspot Name: mupas-wifi Password: mupas123 2

Open a browser and enter the following address into the navigation bar: http://10.42.0.1:8080/ You will see the following page:

Log in to your MUPAS Micro device using the following username and password: User Name: mupas Password: mupas123

After a successful login to your MUPAS Micro device, you will see a page where you can select your home Wi-Fi network that your MUPAS Micro device will use to send data to the MUPAS Servers.

Select your home Wi-Fi network from the Available Networks dropdown and enter your home Wi-Fi network password.

When you have entered the correct information, press the USE THIS WIFI AND RESTART DEVICE button. Your MUPAS Micro device will automatically restart.

Once the MUPAS Micro device reboots, you should see a green light flashing to the left or right of the copper gamma antenna (see Figure 1). The green light will flash on and off every 5 seconds when it sends the current data to the MUPAS servers. If the green light is not flashing, you may have entered an incorrect password for your home Wi-Fi.

Connecting to the MUPAS Servers Once your MUPAS Micro device is up and running and communicating with the MUPAS Servers, you can monitor its activity from the MUPAS Website.

From a browser, navigate to the Experiencer Studies website using the following address: Experiencer Studies (experiencer-studies.com)

There you have access to all the studies currently available.

Press the Visit the MUPAS Website from the Experience Studies website:

You will now be brought to the MUPAS Server website, where you can log in using your MUPAS username and password:

Once logged in, you can navigate through the various pages of the MUPAS Server website. Navigate to the Setup tab to change the settings on your MUPAS Micro device.

Enter the available information for your device installation that appears on the screen.

Select the desired alerts that you want to have on your phone or email. The MUPAS alert system is fully explained on the Theory of Operation tab.

Verifying Installation Now that your MUPAS Micro device is entirely set up, you can verify that the sensors are operating correctly by switching to the Analysis tab.
