BRAG Hosts Events this past Spring

On Thursday, March 25th, The Florida State University Chapter of the Black Retail Action Group hosted an entrepreneurship panel for students on campus. This panel consisted of five panelists: Donna King (CEO/Head Designer of P. Sherrod & Co.), Charla R. Mitch (Fashion Designer and Shop Owner of CR Clothing Co.), Cedric Brown (Designer- Cedric Brown Collections), and Idunnu Tomori (FSU Grad and Founder of Misayo House Jewelry). Panelists answered multiple questions about business start ups and the realities of being a person of color in the retail industry. Attendants were also encouraged to ask panelists questions.
On Thursday, April 8, The Florida State University Chapter of the Black Retail Action Group hosted their last meeting, "Fake It Til' You Make It " . This event featured BRAG advisor and professor in the College of Entrepreneurship, Mrs. Christie Hand. In this meeting participants were able to ask Mrs. Hand questions about professional development and getting yourself into your desired position. Mrs. Hand gave some great insight on retail careers, confidence in the workspace and achieving your goals.
