To celebrate this we have added more color and form into the collection. This is such a fun and easy to grow product that helps differentiate the market. Modern breeding is mostly focused on fitting more plants on carts for the box store grower. At Hort Couture we are looking for innovation and new varieties that will excite the consumer. Our Antique Pink Angelonia is a basket type with gorgeous bicolor pink flowers that consumers just fall in love with on the bench for using in mixed containers. Purple Zebra is more upright but has incredible flowers that are a one of a kind. These varieties love the heat and humidity and are so easy.

Our Kimono Calibrachoa have been a big hit in the market with their rich dark eye zones, compact habit and superb performance across North America not only in greenhouse productioin but also once they go home with the consumer. By developing kale varieties which form branches that create a head, several remarkable things happen to kale that revolutionize the product. First, the tightly packed, soft leaves are much more tender than anyone can imagine for a kale. Consider the analogy of what the tender shoots on the inside of a celery plant taste like compared to the outer pieces and add to this that the sugar content is now concentrated into a smaller leaf area making our kale varieties sweeter than anything in the market. Currently, kale production consists of stripping the course leaves and packaging. These new kale varieties can be neatly packaged and displayed without leaf damage, less sanitary issues and easier, more efficient production and logistics.
