Beyond that, exciting opportunities await us for this coming year. We're going to implement key changes that will deepen our community life and discipleship programs. First, we'll be instituting Bible studies based on each student's class year (starting with soon arriving freshmen). This format should unite men's and women's athletes across teams. These Bible studies will be discipleship-oriented, seeking to challenge Christian students to grow deeper in their faith and become leaders on campus. This will also create greater community with fellow believers across teams who will share four years on campus with their peers. Second, we'll begin building out more athletic-team Bible studies with an evangelistic emphasis. Third, we're also starting a student-to-student discipleship program, equipping our leaders to become disciplers of their peers. This is all thrilling to me!
It's so fulfilling to be involved in engaging these remarkable young people with the Gospel of Jesus. I sense, on a daily basis, that I'm exactly where God has called and equipped me to be.
